Kicks & Giggles ~ silliness in a seriously silly world

by faithgibson on August 12, 2012

Well, the dilemma of how to discern and express political wisdom and compassion during the last 100 days of a fericely fought presidential campain got the best of me today.

What can one say when serious people — politicians who promote themselves as public leaders and self-identify as highly religious — go around the country campaigning on the idea that it is wrong to feed the poor?

What would Jesus say? Or Moses, or Lincoln, or JFK, or Mother Teresa? Has the whole country fallen down Alice’s Rabbit Hole? Is it the effect of ‘magic mushrooms’?

Kafkaesk is what it seems like to me.

Instead of posting a “Pearl of Great Price” today, my contribution is something I read on a Tee-shirt. It’s the kind of a thing that would make a working mom laugh and sure enough, it make me laugh.

Laughter is good and so, maybe you, dear reader, will also laugh and perhaps Tweet it to a friend, who will get a good chuckle out of it and….   Well you get the idea — when all else fails, we can at least take care of one another.
